From City of Sydney:
Now, in its second year, the Paddington Business Partnership in conjunction with City of Sydney and Woollahra Councils and Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival are pleased to announce the festival line up for PADDINGTON ALIVE – a six day public event taking place from August 23rd – August 28th 2010 dedicated to the residents, retailers and wide-spread Paddington community.

Paddington Alive is a festival that showcases the cultural diversification that has made Paddington the fashion Mecca of Australia. Paddington is home to captivating & edgy fashion boutiques and designer flagship stores, art galleries, bars, cafes and restaurants, and all will be celebrated with a schedule of events to allow the public to rediscover Paddington’s renowned charm.

The ‘In Conversation’ series will deliver the public unprecedented access to some of Sydney’s (and Australia’s) top fashion designers, including Clare Press (Mrs Press), Leona Edmiston, Bianca Spender, Camilla Franks and many more.

The William Street Laneway Festival will unearth the eclectic mix of the William Street boutiques, and involves some of Australia’s most respected boutiques and designers including The Corner Shop, Rittenhouse, Poepke and Nudie Jeans.

The Fringe Bar Emerging Designer Market showcases the new generation of rising fashion stars, and the Australian Centre of Photography and Blender Gallery will exhibit various shows from artists and photographers that have perfectly captured the inspiration and essence of Paddington’s creative life-force.

Paddington Alive is part of the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival and shares the same objective of delivering consumer orientated events to promote retail activity.http://rsff.com.au/satellite-events
