SURF SKULL HOODIE

July 1, 2013

You wont find a skull like this anywhere else. So what makes this skull so special? It’s a SURF SKULL! The cross bones are surfboards. The eyes are surfboards as well, and the teeth are waves. This is 100% original. We love it!..so much that we are making it a t shirt and a hoodie. We are also making surf skull stickers!

PACKAGING DESIGN by EMEDIA CREATIVE

September 11, 2012

packaging designed by Emedia Creative.

From Designers:

The Challenge: To create a range of tubs that cry out from the shelves to customers and emphasise the traditional artisan gelato techniques captured in each tub.

Our Solution: We designed a set of premium looking packages each with it’s own individual personality and presence. Using hand drawn fonts, patterns and a conversational tone, these tubs immediately invite you to rip off the lid and dig in. There are a total of 22 varieties over 3 ranges.

WEAVE PENDANT by EDWARD LINACRE

July 27, 2012

The weave pendant was designed by Edward Linacre.

From Designer:
‘Weave Pendant Lamps’ are the first of a series of lamps born through the amalgamation of traditional craft processes and modern CAD development techniques. Basket weaving was fused with computer surface-modelling to create a complex self supporting 3D woven structure that requires no glues or adhesives to hold its form. The lamps are constructed of 100% recycled timber veneers, reclaimed from the industrial waste bin of a local timber yard.

PACKAGING by JULIAN YEO

July 19, 2012

Packaging for Real Juice designed by RMIT student Julian Yeo.

From Student:
The brand is named Real Juice with the idea of how the brand should be. That is friendly and subtly quirky. ’VAG Rounded’ is used for the logotype to suit the characteristics of the brand. Real Juice is aimed at mid market consumers. I wanted to create a sense of familiarity and comfort by borrowing the fundamental aesthetics of real fruits. That is achieved through minimal and careful execution via photography and typography.

MELBOURNE DANCE COMPANY by JOSIP KELAVA

May 21, 2012

Fantastic branding, graphic design and typography work done by Josip Kelava

From Designer:
Initially the design was just going to be used as a headline but I had to remember that dance was an expression of movement, and thus, I wanted the type to wrap around the dancer as if it was dancing on it’s own. And because the type has such sharp corners, and ballet is meant to be quite sensual, I purposely wanted this contrast in the juxtaposition.

I wanted the viewer to look at the poster and let it play in their mind, both with the harshness of the type and the softness of the dancer.Just like dancing can be interpretive differently to others, I wanted to do the same for the poster. Using the different characters within the type allowed me to do this, and overall, create a visual dance in itself.

FORTIFIED WINE PACKAGING (ROLLER DERBY COLLECTION) by STUDIO LOST & FOUND

May 18, 2012

The packaging for the Roller Derby collection was designed by Studio Lost & Found.

From Designers:
We helped Tash, a passionate fortified winemaker from Margaret River, develop the brand strategy and visual identity for her holding company Arthur Wines, and have recently had a blast working on the packaging for her first range of products called The Roller Derby Collection, which features a red fortified wine called Ruby Slipper, and a white fortified wine called Glass Slipper.

Tash’s mission is to raise the profile of fortified wines, and reposition these magical beverages for a new generation of wine enthusiasts. Featuring Dorothy Gale and Cinderella illustrated with a roller derby twist, her product packaging is sure to stand out amongst the ultra-conservative packaging that is common in the category.

The product is packaged in premium French glass with authentic Portuguese stopper corks. The labels were printed four-colour process on Fasson Estate 8 uncoated vellum paper, with a clear high-build silkscreen varnish.
